Richard Parsons received his Bachelor of Music Degree (Music Education) from Georgia State University in 2004. As the founder, owner and CEO of Linwood Music Development, Inc., established in 2002, Richard trained and coached young musicians for more than ten (10) years in various musical disciplines including performance and recording. Linwood Music Development, Inc. students received interest and offers from prestigious studios such as Disney and MGM. While attending Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Richard founded, and was the president of the Civil Litigation Society. Additionally, Richard was a competing member of the John Marshall Mock Trial Competition team. Richard graduated from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2012, passed the bar exam and was sworn in to practice law in the same year.
Richard prosecuted hundreds of criminals and completed dozens of trials as an Assistant District Attorney for the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office until November, 2014 when he launched Parsons Law Firm. Richard has also been a guest speaker at a number of events including the 2015 Georgia Certified Court Reporters Association Conference and he proudly coaches the North Gwinnett High School Mock Trial Competition Team.
Richard approaches every case as though it will go to trial, but utilizes his unique skills in negotiation to reach mutually agreeable terms whenever possible. Of course when negotiations fail, and insurance companies refuse to cooperate, Richard is comfortable applying the appropriate level of aggression and pressure to the insurance companies to encourage cooperation, even if that means trial.
